BUSH HANDLER CAUSES RUCKUS AT ESPN SHOW

One of our spies in Miami tells us that ESPN was forced on Thursday to pull the plug on the taping of a football show featuring an appearance by Reggie Bush. Per a source who witnessed the incident, a Bush handler (that doesn't sound too good) specifically told the ESPN crowd that there should be no questions about the whole USC/New Era deal.

So then the cameras start to roll and, of course, someone eventually asks Bush about the whole USC/New Era deal.

The Bush handler interrupts the show and basically shuts the thing down, ranting about the fact that the topic was supposed to be off limits.

Man, we gotta start going to these things.

It doesnt suprise me at all... maybe the media should stop making these guys out to be heroes and role models and expose them for the trash they are. ESPN should have shut the whole thing down before the show when one of his handlers (I guess he is a circus animal....) said you cant ask about USC... Dont even give him a chance. They are the only major sports network and you can dictate what people do for you, not what you do for them.. Grow a set of balls ESPN and stop having this bum on your commercials, stop showing his highlights and take a stand against a-hole athletes.

You make A LOT of sense. They put these clowns up on false pedestals then act shocked when they fall off.

The NFL is about the league's image as much as about the games played. As soon as the image tarnishes, people stop caring as much about the games. If these players cannot realize that they are in the entertainment business, then they shouldn't be on tv.

Very little true societal importance actually "happens" when this or that team or player is successful. It's of importance because of its entertainment value. When too many people turn into a-hole thugs, it makes it more difficult for mainstream spectators to give a rat's ass about the outcome.

Sports a-holes with disdain for the media & fans (Kevin Brown & Patrick Ewing types and hundreds of current others across all major sports) somehow think their job actually accomplishes something more than entertainment. They should try a real job for a year & re-think their stance on being a-holes to the people that make their jobs so lucrative in the first place.

What do they really do that they think is so important beyond entertaining the public? Shoot a basketball through a hoop? Throw a baseball hard or hit it far? Run or hit harder than most Americans?

You are in the public eye. It is BECAUSE they are in the public eye that their job pays so well. And then when said public has the audacity to ask a difficult question or a kid asks for an autograph, many mistakenly act like it's some unnecessary nuissance that has nothing to do with their occupation.

Without their athletic prowess, they would have had no college education; they would have been the tallest or strongest worker at Wal-Mart, or they'd be loading & unloading cargo on the docks.

Reggie Bush should act like interviews or autograph requests are the fortunate honors that they truly are. If he can't handle it, McDonald's is hiring people to flip burgers.

I seem to recall one of our own stating " It is a priviledge to cover the jets not a right"
