4HCrew
With this new story coming out about Ankiel it just shows the major difference between baseball and football. Ankiel starts hitting hrs like crazy and here comes the hgh stories.. some new qb or rb comes out on fire and it seems like the media does not attack the same way (minus Merriman). I dont know what the guys on Tyson other than fire. If you extrapolate his 81 at bats into 600 - he's hitting at a clip of 69 HR's and 223 RBI's. Wouldn't you know he'd have to be on the f'n Cardinals.
serphnx
I wish Chad would take HGH, but I get the feeling that wouldn't help much.
madmike1
If they found out that a Football player was getting shipments of HGH they would report that too.

The media reports a story of a football player being linked to HGH or steroids (Rodney, Merriman) but they do not ever cover it daily like they do with baseball players (Sheffield, Giambi, Ankiel etc etc etc). I guess its just assumed almost all nfl players use the stuff, while baseball isnt supposed to. They dont want the mighty NFL getting bad press, I guess. DMaynard
The incredible hypocracy of baseball, yes, you Mr. Selig, is the fact that the juiced up ball since the mid nineties has more to do with the homerun era than juiced up players. ECURB
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that baseball is known publicly for its steroid problems... there is a federal investigation going on ya know..
4HCrew
actually e curb the feds are investigating all sports so what is your point exactly?
ECURB
actually e curb the feds are investigating all sports so what is your point exactly? Baseball was the first to be so mainstream, Barry Bonds is an idiot that is camera hungry even though he trys to act camera shy... Jose Conseco wrote a freakin book about it... No sport has anywhere near the exposure baseball does on the situation...
4HCrew
and based on the athletes and their sizes, football should get alot more exposure but hmmm why do they not?
ECURB
and based on the athletes and their sizes, football should get alot more exposure but hmmm why do they not? Your kidding right? This is common sense... it is necessary to be larger in football than it is in baseball... football players also have a much longer offseason to train... not to mention most of them a just built strong... baseball players that get big look like they did it artificially

What planet are you on, ecurb? This post of yours makes no sense, and once again you are missing the whole point here: The media ignores steroids/hgh in football while they lynch and persecute baseball for it. Wake up and smell the coffee. Steroids/HGH use is even more rampant in the NFL than baseball.

Your wrong, NFL players have more time... that is the key element... go buy a body building magazine and look at all the guys that get huge with egg's and tuna.... its very possible... it takes time though... baseball players seem to bulk up in a month and shrink down very quickly... while usually big football players stay big... if your on roids you do not say big... LOL, the point is nfl players ARE getting busted for roids/hgh, only the media is not continuing their followups on the story and persecuting the NFL, like they are with baseball players and MLB. And your accusations of basbell players slimming down and bulking up very quickly while nfl players arent, is completely wrong and baseless. And unless you've been in an nfl lockeroom seeing guys w/o their pads on, there's no way you can say these things.
