It's a huge long shot, but it is the kind of deal the Twins should have been aiming for in the first place if they wanted to stay in contention. This rumor has the A's also sending Bobby Crosby and Dan Johnson to the Mets, while getting Kevin Mulvey back. Hector Pellot would go to the Twins. Comical? Why is that? I would say the Mets are hurting a lot worse than the Yanks when it comes to pitching...perhaps if the Mets had a competitive staff, they may not have had a melt down.
