mbn007
Until I see that Angelos signs off I don't believe this. That's the attitude one needs to take with the O's.
shawn306
Agreed. Angelos will probably rip the deal apart and decide he can do better and come up with some just outrageous demands and the deal will fall through. Until I see Bedard putting on a Seattle jersey and hat this is far from being a done deal.
AFJF
Deals like this are what's killing baseball. There is no way you can convince me that the Orioles can't afford to keep Bedard. If they deal him away it'll be a move to pocket more money and screw the fans over. When you share a division with the Yankees and Red Sox you dream of having a guy like Bedard to anchor your staff. This guy has two years on his deal before becoming a FA and they're looking to deal him for a OF prospect? Riddiculous.
Kidhuman
Agreed AirForce, this is a retarded move to trade a pitcher with Bedards potential to the M's for a prospect. This only means the Yankees could have gotten him for a case of cologne
CanadianJet
Some are reporting the trade is back on, and the Mariners just signed another right fielder (Brad Wilkerson) today. In my opinion this deal will end up going down.
