Blackout
4-1 record, 4.42 ERA so far this year if he can play into next year he's got a shot at 300 with Arizona having a solid offense this year.
Bob
Sure. He was a dominant pitcher for a long time. I'd like to see him reach that milestone. I'm not holding his Yankees years against him.
The Troll
Absolutely. Why wouldn't you? He's certainly in the argument with Mad Dog and Pedro as the best pitcher of the last 25 years.

yisman
Maddux had a better career than any of those guys.
Bob
I wouldn't even put Clemens on the list. He was pretty much done by the time he left Boston. Without roids, he doesn't even come close to the others. Proof?
The Troll
Proof? His ERA was in the 4's two out of his last four years in Boston. The only time before that he had a plus-4 ERA was in his rookie season. Then he went to Toronto, where he allegedly started juicing, and posted his best ERA in seven years, at age 35. He also set his career high in Ks that season. Jetsfan80
It would be great to see Randy get to 300. With the way today's game is set up, getting to 300 is more impressive than ever before. The more interesting question is, if Randy gets to 300, will he be the last? I think so. Johan Santan, a "dominant" pitcher, hasn't even cracked 100 yet. The future generation of pitchers has its work cut out for them.
Blackout
I'm not holding his Yankees years against him. what about his standoffish personality and mullet?
Blackout
Maddux had a better career than any of those guys. not taking steroids into the equation, Roger's career ****s over maddux much more black and gray ink, 7 CYA's, better ERA+ despite playing in the AL, higher total of dominating seasons etc. but maddux was clean... Lil Bit Special
It would be nice to see since he was so wild and out of control as a pitcher early in his career, its nice to see he developed into a great pitcher.
