The Gun Of Bavaria
IF we play Hardball with Dinger, why didn't we play hardball with Herm?
PatsFanTX
IF we play Hardball with Dinger, why didn't we play hardball with Herm? A team can handle one embarrassment pretty easily. Two in a row and the Jets would solidify their #1 ranking as the laughing stock of the entire NFL.

The Herm embarrassment is the exact reason we are now playing hardball with Heimerdinger. This would be a non issue that would resolve itself once Mangini finds HIS own OC had the press not been made privy to every single thing our front office has done until now. IMO and if I had to bet, Heimer won't be our OC this season.
Maxman
I am proud of the Jets. They are doing what is best for them. For once.
TBrady
I can see if the Jets wanted to fire him, then he is entitled to his contract and we should pay him, but it is he who wants out of the contract and still wants to be paid what he is owed as well? F that! Mutually agree to rip up the contract and let Dinger go to Denver, it's not like he is not going to have another job, but why should we pay Dinger's salary while he is coaching somewhere else? If he doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him here, but in no way does he deserve the rest of his contract.
SouthernJet
I am proud of the Jets. They are doing what is best for them. For once. exactly. its either the ythink he is the man to stay OR they are forcin him to quit to save the team 1 mill,, either way its whats best for Jets,,hardball baby, hardball,,

Not the way it works. He will be in Denver by this time next week. But no reason the Jets should pay him for it. We could have probably won 4 games and had both QBs get crushed without him. Bill Slackman
The NFL is all about winning. If we have someone that another team covets why in the world would we let him go (and conceivably come back to haunt us)? It's clear the Broncos want Dinger and that Kubiak is going to the Texans. That means they have a vacancy and a hole. They've waited for Ding-bat and lots of good candidates are going away. The longer we play this out the more it hurts the Broncos. I say we take our time, hire the guy we want and play keep-away from Denver. That way WE win for a change. Dinger was paid hansomely and has a very attractive contract. He should be told to be a professional and keep his trap shut.
Jetfan13
IF we play Hardball with Dinger, why didn't we play hardball with Herm? yea, then if KC backed down Herm would still be our coach.. thats why Pat
