  1. I happened to flip on the combine during the o-linemen running the 40 and many of them were going down with injuries before even finishing it. It got to the point that Eisen and whoever he was hosting with were talking about the idea of changing it to a 20 yd dash for o-linemen.
  2. I know there was a lot of skepticism around keeping the current coaching staff with some of the names available this cycle but it looks like there will still be some big names available if things go poorly this year. -Ben Johnson is staying in Detroit and will have another year of OC experience under his belt -Vrabel an established head coach who would be a great candidate next year if we blow it up -Pete Carroll: Super Bowl winning HC. I know he's older but could help bring some stability and create the Tampa Bay model with an asst. coach in waiting to take over -Belichek: Not likely but a legendary coach that will be out there -Bobby Slowik: Another impressive offensive mind. If we end up drafting a QB, could be a great choice I'm sure I'm missing something. I'm a Jets fan first and I want this team and regime to win but good to know if things go poorly, we have options.
  3. To me, this most concerning part is how some key players on this team are often speaking out on twitter and continue to think it's ok. Really makes me question the leadership of this coaching staff and the respect level the team has. My only hope is the respect Rodgers brings to the building will clean some of this up because it's obviously not coming from the coaching staff.
  4. Man, if things go bad next year I'd love to bring in Vrabel next year with Arthur Smith as OC. They did some great things with Tannehill and Smith while didn't impress as an H.C. is a really good O.C.
  5. I mean it's going to be really hard to get two new tackles for next year. I'm not apposed to bringing Becton back on a short term deal. I can't imagine another team breaking the bank for the guy. Let him fight it out with Carter Warren and another potential late pick/FA signing for RT while we draft our LT in the first rd.
  6. I want Monken as our next H.C. he's the guy that can fix out offense. He's been around a while so certainly not a flash in the pan one year wonder OC. He also has a lot of contacts around the league so I think he would put a great staff together. The way Lamar and that Raven offense is playing is pretty exciting
  7. You can say the same thing about Doug Pederson. Trevor Lawrence has been a bit up and down but he really turned that team around after the Urban Meyer mess and is a SB winning HC.
  8. this was brought up on WFAN this morning but the dichotomy of the Jets and Dolphins right now is pretty depressing as a Jets fan. -We both hired 49ers assistants to be our HC. Dolphins get a young offensive mind and we got Saleh. -Dolphins drafted Tua 5th who I think is not great but still a QB you can absolutely win with. -The Tyreek Hill trade - Rumor was it was between us and the Dolphins. Not much can be done there with state income tax, him wanting to be in Florida etc.. but still a kick in the balls -They bring in Mike White we got Tim Boyle I don't think the Dolphins are winning the SB this year but they look to be a fun, dynamic team that's running away with the division.
  9. I think he's a competent, proven OC who is likely being scapegoated for the Bryce Young pick and considering our situation going into next year with a lame duck coach and GM who will likely have a playoff mandate the next young offensive mind isn't walking through this door. I think this is likely the best we can do and although it's a low bar to clear he's lightyears better than Hackett. With the Commanders likely to blow it up after this season I'd also love the Jets to look at Bieniemy as well.
  10. Love to bring this guy in as our next OC but he probably wouldn't do it. Still getting paid by Carolina and I'm sure he wouldn't want to deal with our mess. The only saving grace could be an opportunity to be the next HC.
  11. Agreed, he's not going anywhere next year but in 2025 you have the potential of Rodgers retiring, the likelihood we'll be too good to draft a QB and a ready to win team with the core of GW, Breece and the defense. He could be a great option especially on a one year prove it deal.
  12. This may sound crazy right now but I would really consider bringing in Daniel Jones. The Giants will likely end up drafting a QB and the injury/contract will require him to remain a Giant next year but the year after that could line up nicely. I know he's injury prone so we'll need a decent backup but when he's healthy he could be a legit option to bridge the gap when Rodgers retires. Just throwing that thought into the universe.
  13. Also throwing this in to just add insult to injury. We let the Pats screw us again. I mean another young Tackle here would be so much more useful than a rotational Defensive end and apparently he's playing great. I wonder how much swapping first rd picks w/ the Packers really mattered in that trade.
