Integrity28
So, Denver can't make him happy - wonder if a potential swap could be worked out. The Denver Post reports a decision from the Broncos on RE Elvis Dumervil likely won't come until Friday. Dumervil's $12 million salary becomes guaranteed if he is on the roster Saturday, so Friday will be the latest we hear something. Initially, Dumervil was reluctant to take a pay cut, but he has since changed his stance. It may have been too late. The Broncos are short on cash, and could replace him with a cheaper option like free agent Dwight Freeney. Dumerville + 2014 2rd rounder which can escalate to a 1st rounder if Denver wins X playoff games for Revis + 2013 5th rounder How would you guys feel about something structured like this? Then we go out and sign ourselves a CB out of the large FA pool available, and probably draft one too.
Il Mostro
The last I heard he was reversed his position and now seems open to restructuring -- they are reportedly talking. Looks like Denver's plan to sign Freeney is on hold for now.
pointman
Could you imagine a double digit sack beast on our team?? Me neither.
LAD_Brooklyn
No sure why you would trade for him and his $12 mil base salary. That trade takes out $9 mil in the little space we have.

Dumvervil and Denver's 2013 #1 for Revis, so long as we are fantasizing. Young double digit sack guy, but is he is worth 12 million per?

My assumptions is we extend him upon acquisition, in the process restructuring that $12m to fit into this and next year's plans.

BroadwayJoe12
The reason we're even talking about not keeping our HOF CB is that his cost is too prohibitive; so I don't see how trading for a player who isn't as good comparatively as Revis and will still seek a very large annual salary, is really the answer.
