More legal woes for Goodson

Embattled Jets RB Mike Goodson has another legal issue to worry about.

Goodson, arrested May 17 in New Jersey on drug and weapons charges, is being slapped with a paternity suit by a Houston woman demanding child support for the four children he allegedly fathered from 2005 to 2011. The suit was filed Thursday in Harris County (Texas) Court.

In the court papers, obtained by ESPNNewYork.com, Ashlee Wilson is suing for retroactive child support, lump-sum child support and health insurance.

She filed an action against him in August, 2010, suing for support of three children, but the case was never pursued. In an interview last week, Wilson declined to say why she didn't. She was living with Goodson's mother at the time. Her Houston-based attorney, Glenn Lilly, indicated last week that she had reconsidered and would file a suit.

Wilson and the four children now live with her parents. Lilly said Goodson still owes him $7,000 in fees from the original case, as ordered by the court.

Goodson's off-the-field issues were detailed last week in a story by ESPNNewYork.com. Three women in a nine-month span filed paternity and child-support suits against him. He also was sued by a jewelry store for not paying a $56,000 bill, received at least two eviction notices for unpaid rent and failed to make car payments.

Goodson, who signed a three-year, $6.9 million contract with the Jets in March, is back practicing with the team as he awaits his next court date for the drug and weapons charges. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for June 12.

If Goodson can manage to avoid jail time he'll be home free to impregnate 20 women per night. All I'm concerned about is TDs and rushing yards. I'm too old to have sh*tty athlete role models anyway.
