Mo is a grown man and capable of keeping himself in shape plus it's in his own best interest.  As far as "happiness" goes let him take out his frustrations on opponents starting week 1 next September

According to players football shape is on a different level..Jogging or just weight training doesn't do that for you.. Look at Revis after his holdout in 2010 or Sheldon after missing 4 games last season..

It's pretty obvious why it doesn't need explanation.  Because it's a deeply unrealistic idea in every way.

So we agree.

If they trade Mo to move up, it'll take alot more than just him.  I.e. Mo is not worth a 1st or 2nd alone.

Which would be asinine, as Mo is worth more playing for us than for some 2nd round 50/50 chance at average.

In what crazy world are we dumping Mo in his prime, and paying an aged, slow, ineffective Revis 16 million?

Here is a better idea, trade Revis, resign Mo, stop chasing third-tier QB prospects (Lynch), stand pat at our picks and draft a CB who won't suck in the big moment in a win-and-get-in game vs. a below-average QB.

So, you don't think the Jets can get a 1st or 2nd rounder for Mo, but you believe he is worth way more than that, correct? Fair enough. But he is worthless (or at best a 3rd round compensation pick) if the Jets do not re-sign him. Its not about Revis and the money invested in him. The Jets had ample opportunities to resign Mo when they had plenty of cap space. They chose not to. Now, they may just keep him (assuming he signs the tag) and resign him next year. But, so far, its looked like they have no intention of keeping him. The other thing about slow, aging Revis vs. Mo in his prime is that the Jets also have L.Williams who has yet to hit his prime and Richardson who is just on the verge of hitting his prime- both DEs that can play DT. The Jets have Revis and ONLY Revis as a legit CB.

So when you look at it like Mo for ONE year and MAYBE a 3rd round pick. OR a high second rounder this year and the chance to move up for a potential Franchise QB- all of a sudden its not so asinine. If the Jets are not planning on keeping Mo and would rather invest that money into Richardson and L.Williams down the line, trading Mo for a 2nd + is not that crazy.

I also want to point out that you can't have it both ways- if whoever we get early in the second or a 'third tier' QB prospect are 50/50 chance guys that could turn into busts, then whoever we take to replace Revis once he is traded could just as easily turn into a bust. For an aging, slow, 'ineffective' CB, Rvis is still a top tier NFL CB, easily a #1 and had a good season for the Jets this year. His season shouldn't be defined by one game vs. the Bills where Sammy Watkins had a good game- very likely b/c of coaching strategy rather than Revis himself.
