Any draft with Garrett falling below 1st pick is junk.... It won't happen...

I run a lot of these and it is rare that it happens but its always fun to run with it.

This was how my first 5 went:

1: R1P1

QB MITCH TRUBISKY
CLEVELAND BROWNS
2: R1P2

QB DESHAUN WATSON
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
3: R1P3

S JAMAL ADAMS
CHICAGO BEARS
4: R1P4

CB MARSHON LATTIMORE
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
5: R1P5

S MALIK HOOKER
TENNESSEE TITANS

ya never know what can fall in your lap!

If forced into a non-Watson draft this would do...Melifonwu is now one of my ideal picks, Hodges is not being talked about enough, Webb's acceptable among the non-Watsons, no clue who the last guy is

I can see Garrett, Lattimore, Hooker, Adams and Fournette being the top 5.  That leaves Solomon Thomas, likely not a fit for the Jets defense and another DL.  The WR or TE may be better fits.

We think there is a bust factor for Watson or any of the QBs.  But Macc's job is to make that bet.  If he passes over a QB that ends up being franchise or close, he will be tarred.  IT does not have to be Watson.  I am not buying the Trubitsky does not have enough experience argument either-if his brain and body can play QB, he will learn.

If I am Macc, I am taking one of the five bolded above before one of the risky QBs.  But if they are all gone, and he is not sold on Williams or Howard, taking a chance on the QB may be the call.  Or...even better....letting someone else and getting more picks.

Macc took the view last year that Hack was better than Lynch.  Who knows what the Broncos think now.  His job depends on making the right QB call.

If that's how it falls then you have to go O.J Howard or Mike Williams

I would be ecstatic with that draft.  I really see Robinson being a Probowl LT and I love the potential of him protecting Watson for the next decade.  It would solidify the OL by adding arguably the best Center in the draft and we get a boom or bust OLB.  The tape I've watched on Anderson leaves me believing he's going to be a hit or miss player in the NFL

The site updates every Tuesday so this Tuesday the mock drafts will reflect the Free Agency moves.  The more I think about it the more I want them to go O.J Howard with the #6 pick. Is that crazy?  I just think he'll help out whatever quarterback is taking the snaps so much.  I'd do TE in the 1st CB in the 2nd (will get a starting caliber CB here) S at the top of the third or Mixon if he's there and maybe BPA with the second pick in the 3rd
