1. Matt Forte put the target on his own back by calling out Morton. And in response, he walked the walk. Forte is big, not because he's part of the future, but a trade can get us another pick that can lead to the future. So the better Forte plays, the better for us.

2. Wilkerson and Williams are showing signs of life on the DL last couple of weeks. Good sign. Darron Lee also continues his good streak of play. See what happens when you don't give up immediately on a player?

3. While the last 5 minutes were inconsequential to the game, it does leave room for improvement by Bowles and company. But we did have some improvment. The offense showed up this time.

Teams will not give up resources to trade for a 32 year-old running back set to make $4 million in a year that they know will simply be cut.

 

Which is why Todd Bowles should pull a genius move and announce Matt Forte the starting RB for 2018, at the end of the season.
