hamat711 Posted April 3, 2020 Share Posted April 3, 2020 1. Allen - This might not be popular here, but Allen plays best in crucial situations. He has the 4th highest QB rating in the 4th quarter. The Bills have one of the best redzone offenses due to Allen's ability as a runner. Allen never turned the ball over in the redzone or the 4th quarter. He also leads the league in 4th quarter comebacks. Allen's accuracy is usually his biggest flaw but he was one of the best passers in the league on short and intermediate passes. Allen's biggest flaw is his deep accuracy, but he still ranked last in the league. 2. Ryan Fitzpatrick - Fitz and Sam each started 13 games. In those 13 games, Fitzpatrick outperformed him in every metric. He had more TDs per game, less turnovers per game, and more yards. The dolphins had even less talent than the Jets so it's hard to make any argument for Darnold being ranked higher than Fitz. This is 2 years in a row where Fitz has outperformed Darnold. Saying Darnold is better than Fitz is just wishful thinking. 3. Sam Darnold - Darnold has accomplished less than Fitz and Allen. Some will blame Gase and some will blame the roster. Despite those being valid complaints, the fact is, Darnold hasn't produced. His turnovers remain a problem dating back to college. At this point, going into his 3rd season, Darnold needs to start elevating the players around him. If Darnold has another season similar to 2019, I wouldn't be shocked if the Jets start entertaining other options like the Titans did with Mariota and Tannehill. 4. This is the type of clickbait garbage that PFF and other similar media outlets do to rile up fanbases who then run to forums to post the link with their "Can you believe this garbage?!".
