Mahomes got paid.....properly.....

Finally a guy that has actually accomplished something in the league gets paid unlike most of the huge contacts handed out to dubious QBs in this league because they had one promising year.

"Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms on a restructured contract that pays the QB $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, the most in history over a four-year span, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Monday"

Agreed. Given the massive pay scale inflation, he's arguably underpaid at $55MM per.

Is this the time to again bring up that, with a QB room consisting of McCown + Petty + Hackenberg the worst GM in NFL history instead decided to draft a box safety?

Part of me wonders what he would have been here.  No Reid.  No OL.  No weapons.  Would he have just gotten destroyed physically to the point where his confidence would have crumbled?  Or is his talent so great that he would have elevated all around him, even his coaches?  We'll never know...

We’ll know in 12 years or so.

No weapons, and Josh McCown had a solid-enough (for him) season until the game he went on IR. That's without Enunwa, and given the everything-changes-everything nature of the butterfly effect, as likely as not he doesn't nearly break his neck in training camp (odds are slim everybody, on both sides of the ball on that play, is in the exact same place at the exact same time).

A stellar WR group? No, of course not.

Of course then in the 2018 draft the team wouldn't have traded away its high #1 pick plus two high 2nds plus their 2nd the following season to move up for a QB. I don't know what busts they'd have drafted instead, but I do know all 4 of those high picks wouldn't have been spent on moving up from #6 to #3 before the draft started.

Jamal Adams has played in 25 of 52 regular season games since he became a Seahawk.

Two fanbases hate this guy.
