at 45 seconds here we see the 4th overall pick not being able to take an angle or run like the way an athlete is supposed to run. Whether Sauce was Douglas or Woody, it’s another high end asset that was burned. The kid can’t play.

Sauce was all pro his first two seasons and was clearly the pick there.  Look at the guys taken after him.

He just needs the right scheme/coaching.

It’s not like the Zach Wilson draft where he was followed with multiple Hall of Famers.

He can’t run or tackle.

He’s the best cover corner in the league. Like almost by consensus. About 70% of stats against him this year came in one game and like 80% of that production came on one fluke play.

This is why the Jets are the Jets. The fanbase latches on to players like this and the owner obliges. Sauce can’t play and I can’t take anyone seriously anymore with him. His all pros we’re a farce. Any time a play is run at him it’s an extra 10 yards. Every time there’s a pass play he’s playing zone covering no one. He’s a flat out bad football player.

we have too many posters here seemingly more interested in the draft (like you) than the actual team.

Sauce won 2 all-pros, analytics place his coverage as best in the league the 2 years he’s been in the league, his arrival to the team coincides with the defense becoming top 5 for the past seasons. The guy doesn’t tackle well but he’s a CB on a team that is elite in pass coverage and average at run defense. You might not like him but you’re wrong when evaluating him. It’s actually bizarre.

What is this? How does he face his team after blatantly tanking this play?

He isn’t asked to cover anyone! The Jets are hiding him in zone while asking Reed to guard the best receiver.

The play above was the 4th overall pick and he’s turning his back on the final play of the game to avoid contact. The locker room can’t have any respect for him. And then you see Douglas on the Bills playing his ass off and it really drives you nuts.

Your takeaway on that play was that Sauce was the problem? Not that Clemons should’ve strung Allen out to allow Adams or Sauce to converge on him before the first down. Sauce had no shot to make the play there since he’s literally in man coverage from the snap. I’m gonna be honest idc that Sauce pulled up once two dudes converged on a sliding Allen.

Reed doesn’t play man any more or less than Sauce. Reed got burned multiple times last season and Sauce has been burned on maybe 5 plays his whole career.

My analysis of Sauce is based on real things. Consistency in coverage and his impact on play calling that allows this defense to be really good. Yours are all feeling and narrative. The guy is a bad tackler who is amazing in coverage.
