SoFlaJets
ooh and check out the little jab at a certain dunce cap wearing ex... Aug 17, 2006 You could say it was just one meaningless throw in the middle of a long training camp. But one particular pass Jets quarterback Chad Pennington made in the middle of Tuesday's practice was one of the most important he's made in a long time. Pennington threw a perfect deep out to wide receiver Reggie Newhouse, placed right over the cornerback, and with enough velocity to make the play a success. Anybody in the NFL will tell you that the deep out is one of the most difficult throws, and if you can't do it your offense is very limited. If your offense is devoid of that play, it makes it a lot easier on a defense. He's also been particularly effective throwing the deep ball, not one of his strengths in the past. On Wednesday, he launched a beautiful fly pattern-pass down the left sideline, resulting in a Justin McCareins touchdown. The way Pennington is performing in training camp is nothing short of remarkable. For him to be throwing the football the way he is, coming off two major shoulder operations, has been a revelation. There weren't many people on the planet who thought that he would be able to come back this strong from two rotator-cuff operations. The naysayers probably included the Jets' front office. Remember, Pennington had to take a significant pay cut to even stay with the team. That spoke volumes about the long odds the signal-caller faced in the minds of most. While it's still early, he's certainly bucked the odds so far. "I feel good," said Pennington. "I

Sperm Edwards
Beats carrying around a can of bug spray... Hey I lived down there for 4 years after college. Never knew what a palmetto bug was until I did. Friggin' gross. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get a glass of sludge from the kitchen sink. BwanaZulia
I hope he comes back and defies the odds. There would be nothing better than to have Chad lead this team to wins this year and next while Clemens gets his feet under him. BZ
