His agent, Todd France, told The Associated Press it's in his client's best interest to pursue free agency once the period opens March 2. France added that Clements is open to re-signing with the Bills if the team makes a competitive offer.

The Bills declined to comment, except to point out what coach Dick Jauron said about the team's potential free agents at the end of last season.

"Our guys may want to test the market, and we understand that," Jauron said. "But we'd like to be kept in the loop and keep the conversations up with them and be as honest as we can be with them and keep an open mind as we chase our guys and others. That's the game. That's the business."

Lets hope he leaves them, addition by subtraction at the very least.

I think he might want too much money, so does Samuel... but as long as we know we can spend it, go for it.

If we get Clemens we may as well talk to Jim Tressel and help him recruit. Maybe we can line it up so...you go to OSU, you get a free tryout with NYJ.

We should also draft Antonio Pittman. No one has mentioned him, and he is much better than you may give him credit for. He's sort of another C-mart, in that he is not flashy, but he runs hard, makes decent cuts, good all around player.

we could have

Clemens

Pittman

Schlegal

Nugent

Mangold

sign an injured Mike Doss

go after Winfield too,...just for chits...

yeah...THE Ohio State Jets

As much as id rather get Samuel from the Pats, I cant help but think this is the guy we're going to end up with for some reason....not that it'll be a bad call getting him at all, he may come considerably cheaper than mr. get paid.

Part of improving your position within the division includes standing by while division rivals take a hit. Either the Pats and the Bills overpay to keep their own guys or they get weaker talent-wise. It is all good.

A young healthy corner in their prime is a good thing to pick up in free agency (Ty Law was one of those things), we don't want to be caught being the team who overpays.
