CobraVerde
Stat of the Week It is almost mathematically impossible after nine weeks for a team to be eliminated from division title contention, but that's what happened in the AFC East this year. After nine weeks, the Dolphins were 0-8, the Jets 1-8 and New England 9-0. That meant that even if Miami or New York won their remaining games and the Patriots lost their last seven, neither the Dolphins nor Jets could finish first in the AFC East. This is why I don't think NE will go undefeated. With the Colts now having 2 losses, they'll have homefield/everything locked up with at LEAST 2 games to go... maybe m ore. The Patriots will continue to bury teams for as long as they can.

JetCane
how bout getting the #1 pick in draft.. does that count for optimism? In a morbid way, yes. I think having the top pick can be too much $$$, and too much hype. Having the third pick or so would be aight with me.

We still have a game against them. Please let us not be the team that loses to them. It would be the irony of ironies if the Pats and Fins each ruin each other's chances at history.
