anskyruben
The way it seems, roided pitchers were throwing against roided batters. Pretty much cancels each other out.

Which would also mean, that if someone truly was never roided up, they deserve more credit for excellent accomplishments. MO fits that bill. anskyruben
Yup. Then we look at Mo......no roids for sure. Greatest reliever once again.

But I saw Gibson and the end of Koufax. Both those guys are tops in my book. I know they were not in NY, but that's how I look at these guys. Greatest NY pitchers in my lifetime? Probably Seaver, although 1978 with Guidry will be one season that is hard to beat. Doc Gooden had a season or 2 that also ranks up there, and if I had the inclination, I bet I could find others in the past 40 years or so.

I don't think Clemens was in NY long enough to take that away from him in the first place. I'd put Guidry in the argument, too.

For a 2-3 year window yes. As for a career, probably not.
