Westhoff on record as saying he plans to return in 2009 after recuperation from surgery,, It is a lame duck hire. A good coach isnt gonna take it,,for that reason, I see Jets internally promoting someone fully expecting Westhoff to return or give job to a non jet never been a ST coordinator young kid who is willing to take job to get expoerience but knowing he steps back to westhoffs asssintant in 2009.. How the hell is he going to come back after that? thats what he and team announced the other day,,that he would return as coordinator in 2009.. so whether u beleive or not, thats what any potential coach will see and read.. 124 Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 If the plan is for Westhoff to return in 2009 then hopefully there is somebody on the staff who learned from him and can take over his responsibilites for one season.
