Iceman88
You shouldn't drop in the polls off of a win not that the polls matter on sep 2... Yeah you should have because polls made before the season begins is the most utterly retarded concept ever. None of it is based on any proof or facts, USC deserves its #1 spot after a complete dismantling of a BCS team that made it to a bowl game last year that definitely would defeat Georgia Southern. Georgia does not deserve the #1 rank even if they won, many other teams won against better opponents in more convincing fashion.
124
USC played someone worth a damn. Georgia played Georgia Southern. Smart move by the voters to have USC jump them. While UGA and OSU played cupcakes, USC played a 6-8 win team from a major conference on the road.

While UGA and OSU played cupcakes, USC played a 6-8 win team from a major conference on the road. The voters knew what the schedule would be when they voted UGA #1 pre-season. UGA didn't lose. In-fact, the only reason Georgia Southern scored those points is because UGA pulled their starters. Please. Did USC upset anyone? The voters are idiots. UGA also was voted #1 before they lost their starting LT and DT for the season. Again preseason polls are complete baseless bull****.

Doesn't matter the ifs and whats in College Football when it comes to the voters and computers. They look at scores. Fact is UGA beat Georgia Southern at home 45-21 while USC went into Virginia, a nine win team from a year ago, and beat them 52-7 in their house. IF USC had left UVA with a 24-10 win, no chance they are #1 right now. Same goes if UGA had blown Georgia Southern out 70-7.
faba
If Georgia can go through the SEC unbeaten in the end they will have nothing to worry about their ranking.
HardKoreXXX
If Georgia can go through the SEC unbeaten in the end they will have nothing to worry about their ranking. Whats funny is that Georgia wasn't even picked to win the SEC, Florida was. This year would appear to be pretty cut and dry, SEC winner vs. USC for the NC. (sub Ohio St. for SC if they stumble)
124
If Ohio State is picked to show up and get embarassed by the SEC winner for the third straight year this year, I won't even watch the game. What a joke if it happens. I don't care if USC ends up losing a game, they'd still deserve to go over the Chokeyes.
