Jetkid94
reported on espn. If he plays I dont think he will be a factor and our rush defense wasnt bad yesterday. maybe we do have a good shot to win?
rillo
Sproles is the guy I think we need to worry about the most, especially ST wise. LT hasn't looked good so far.
00tonytone
LT is soo 2 years ago, he hasnt been a factor in the games. JETS have a shot monday night if they score more than 24 points or so. 10 points isnt gonna cut it no matter how good the defense plays
PhinHater
We can win every game that we play. If we play sloppy like we did yesterday then we have no shot. The penalties will kill us if we don't fix them. If we play a clean, well coached game, then I say we win, but not by much.
Alk
I bet the Chargers wish they had Michael Turner still. The way they run LT it was only a matter of time before he started breaking down.

124
Im not worried. Their coach is Norv Turner!!!! Yeah, because Norv Turner didn't help lead them to the AFC Championship Game last season or anything. Whens the last time we've been in one of those. ****, whens the last time we've had a home playoff game? Answer to both: Too long. San Diego started 0-2 last year and they were fine, they'll be fine again. 10-12 wins for San Diego this year. They could very easily be 2-0 if it werent for Game 1: The D breaking down late and Game 2: The officials.

Sproles is a very dynamic player but he's 200 lbs. soaking wet and isn't going to be able to handle 20+ carries a game.

Running backs don't need to be able to carry it 20+ times (Especially Sproles if LT is able to play some kind of time), he does offer a lot more than Turner in the passing game. If he's given any kind of space to run into he will take it the distance, he's a faster more dynamic Leon Washington and as light as he is, he's not easy to take down. Yea he may be a bit ****y but that cat can make the throws. Wonderin' what is goin' on with the Chargers D. Was Merriman that important to them? Your team runs the 34, don't you believe pass rush is the second biggest thing to a Nose Tackle who can play effectively in the 34? If you can say yes to that then you've answered your question for yourself. Shaun Phillips may or may not be a product of Merriman on the other side. Irish Jet
Meeriman was a HUGE loss, he was even last season one of the most dominant pass rushers in the game. 2 years ago he was in a league of his own but there may be a good reason* for that. I for one am glad he's not going to be in the lineup.

They should be able to keep teams from putting up those huge yards and points without Merriman still IMO.
