uart
Lets talk about the World Baseball Classic... Jeter is the starting SS over Rollins? Will Pedroia get the start at 2B? Check out the provisional rosters here.
CrazyCarl40
I'm not a huge proponent of the WBC, but I'll still watch it I am sure. I don't think you can really go wrong with putting either Pedroia or Roberts in the line-up. Two of the best in the business.

He played in the last WBC, why not this year?
Bugg
It would be great if every player turned them down cold. Its going to take one catastrophic injury for MLB to realize what a mistake this is. If they want to have an international tournament shut down for 2 weeks once very 4 years and go to the Olympics or don't bother. This is a really stupid setup. uart
Baseball definitely shouldn't shut down for the Olympics. Never has, and never should. I don't think the WBC presents any more injury risk than your standard spring training games.
Kidhuman
What about Utley's absence from the roster. He played in the last WBC, why not this year? Because he had hip surgery. Is expected to be out until June

Scott Dierking
Sorry, I just can't get into this WBC. The inability to scream "26!", must make it much less enjoyable
Zeebers
Correct me if I am wrong, the WBC was very successful last time around. The players seems to really into it and, I guess playing for the country is a huge source of pride. A-rod playing for the US then the Dominican Republic is pretty funny. Morrissey
I guess since Ireland doesn't have a team (LOL) I will root hard for USA and Derek Jeter.
