Becht, one of the Jets' infamous former first-round picks, caught just six passes last season and was used mostly as a blocker. A great blocker that should never have a ball thrown in his general direction. His departure led to a lot more pressure on Chad. Really it did - nobody gave the guy enough credit for his role as a pass/run blocker. It was just fortunate that Chad was such a great competitior and never got stymied by a pass rush.
