JoeWillie
NEW ORLEANS (AP)— Safety Darren Sharper is returning to the New Orleans Saints for at least one more year. His agent, Joel Segal, says Sharper has agreed to the deal. Sharper, an All-Pro safety, helped the Saints win their first Super Bowl last season. Guess we can forget about Sharper wearing the green and white in 2010.
AFJF
This was a shocker to me. I really thought with his addition the Jets secondary had a chance to be one of the best ever and opportunities like that don't come along very often. I thought Sharper would wait 'til the Jets could make a move for him.
JohnnyHector
This was a foregone conclusion, unless a non-F8 team offered him a deal that he decided he couldn't pass up financially. The Jets never had a shot, unless New Orleans somehow decided he wasn't worth the $1.9m tender for next season.
Thai Jet
Damn Sam I already pictured him in green and white.
BroadwayJoe12
It was reported that he might of had microfracture surgery on his knee instead of just a scope. For a 33+ year old that would be quite risky. I'm fairly certain that as long as Poole can stay on the field, we won't be wishing for sharper.
