  1. This team just failed at developing their highly drafted #2 pick at qb. When have the Jets showed they can develop anybody at qb? The last thing this coaching staff and FO should be thinking about is the future after Rodgers. I hate this move the more I think about it, if it was true they were fielding calls and were stuck on drafting a tackle, they should have traded down again and drafted Fatanu. If you think Smith is injury prone, then so is AVT who has been hurt every year he's been in the league. Fantanu would have been insurance for both guard and tackle.
  2. He'll probably take the starting RT job from Moses and be waiting in the wings to replace Tyron Smith. Not a bad pick, but it's more of a long-term pick than a win now move like drafting Bowers would've been. I hate this pick though if the plan is for him to take Smith's job next season.
  3. New Rumors from Charlie Campbell, looks like we're hoping to trade down with a team trying to jump the Vikings for JJ. If we can't get that, then it's either one of the top 3 wr if they make it to us, and if not Bowers. Source: NFL Hot Press: 2024 NFL Draft Week Rumors – Thursday – WalterFootball
  4. Bowers is going to the Jets. We literally drafted a guy cause he jumped over cars last year. Well, guess what Bowers has been working on? Backflips, you can't tell me the Jets aren't seeing this and salivating over his car jumping potential?
  5. None of the top 3 receivers are making it to 10. If you want one of the top three, you have to trade up past the Bears. A better argument is Bowers vs Brian Thomas Jr, and I'm taking Bowers over him. I'm not entertaining OL because we're all in on Rodgers. Just go get Bahktiari for depth purposes.
  6. If the Jets would've traded down with the Eagles and drafted Justin Fields back in the 2021 NFL Draft, we would've looked like geniuses with how that draft turned out. Personally, after watching guys like Lawrence, Wilson, Darnold, Lance, Mayfield, etc. fail to live up to the hype and their draft position, I think it's way better to just play the field and take one of the other top-rated qbs. Would anyone be surprised if Maye or Daniels busted, and a guy like Nix, McCarthy, or Penix ended up as a better qb?
  7. I thought Lafleur hated Zach, so why would the Rams go for him? On that note, if the Jets are seriously planning on getting rid of Zach then they better draft a qb. I get that Saleh is trying to save his ass right now and wants to cover himself incase Rodgers gets injured again, but he has to realize Rodgers is 40 years old and they need a succession plan at qb they can develop behind Rodgers. Trade Huff for a 2nd round pick and draft one of Nix/McCarthy if they are still there in the 2nd.
  8. The only thing I'll say is, it took 3 years for it to click for Josh Allen and for him to become a top qb. Maybe, this will be the year it clicks for Zach. Hackett also was the OC when Bortles got to the AFC championship game for the Jags.
  9. I think what most people should take from this is that the Shanahan coaching tree sucks at developing qbs outside of the Cousins mold. RG3, Lance, Wilson, etc. Feels like Shanahan and his disciples don't have the patience to develop the raw, juiced up gunslinger esque guys.
  10. Out of the qbs coming out this year, I like Levis the best. Guy is already used to playing with bad coaching and a sh*t offensive line, he'd be right at home with the Jets.
  11. I personally don't get it either. If you're crying over Fields and his running ability, you should be mad we didn't draft Lance cause he's a better runner then Fields is. But it seems everyone's writing off Lance already.
  12. Have to draft a guy next year. Levis or Richardson, whichever one falls to us, is the one I want. This team probably won't develop either of them based off how Zach developed, but even still, their talent and the fact that if they suck we'll probably have a shot at the #1 pick makes me a believer, in which case we fire the whole staff and bring in Caleb for 2024.
  13. Yeah nah, this is revisionist history. Eagles were trying to trade up for him, and that team is 13-2 now. The truth that Jets fans aren't ready to hear is that Wilson regressed heavily here. Guy went from accuracy being one of his big strengths, to not being able to complete screen pass. I don't know what it is about this team, but they can't develop a qb worth a sh*t.
  14. About to miss the playoffs with White and people still be going on about how White's the better option. Meanwhile, Zach had us in the driver's seat for making the playoffs.
