stoicsentry
Just heard on the news, someone claiming that with help, we can actually clinch a playoff spot this week. Is that true? I mean, even if Cincy loses, they are playing an NFC team (ARI) and we can still drop a game to an AFC team (Dolphins) so I don't see how that can be correct. Larz
they can get a 5th seed if cincy loses and green bay wins and sanchez gets someone preganant
NYJets90
No, because we are tied with the Bengals in Conference record and we both have one conference game left. But we can narrow it down to just the Bengals with a win and a Raiders and Titans loss.

stoicsentry
No. Bummer. Stupid newsman. The good thing is, I think at this point we might even make it with just a victory over Dolphins (might not need the Giants game, though hopefully we get it.) slowmoe57
I think if we win and Oak Cincy Tenn and San Diego all lose -- we lock up the 6th seed -- Yes??? far fetched but might happen

ylekram
I think if we win and Oak Cincy Tenn and San Diego all lose -- we lock up the 6th seed -- Yes??? far fetched but might happen i think under this scenario,if the jets lose to miami and cincy beats baltimore, the jets lose the tie breaker i think there is also some crazy scenario where the jets win out and still miss out on the playoffs,if i am not mistaken.not 100% sure tho

At this point a tie comes down to strength of victory and the Jets currently have it by a pretty wide margin.

The odds of it happening are almost zero.
