What did I miss?

Good to see you back SJ ... while you were gone our offense became a staple in the bottom 5-6 of the league and defense slipped out of the top 5 in the league. But those were the bad things ...the good things .... well there weren't any. There may be some good things come Monday / Tuesday if we don't beat the fishies. Here's for hoping.

We learned that Wayne Hunter isn't going to eat up a giant percentage of our cap room for years to come.

We learned that Mark Sanchez still can't throw a football and have it end up exactly where he wants it to go.

We learned that Rex still looks pretty much the same after lap band surgery.

We learned that Brian Schottenheimer was given a contract extension before the season began.

We learned that Bart Scott's favorite coach and biggest cheerleader thinks he needs to be off the field more.

We learned that Calvin Pace is still a top-3 linebacker...on the NFL's fugliest linebacker list.

We learned that Mark Sanchez needed far more camp competition than Kellen Clemens, Mark Brunell, and Kevin O'Connell.

We learned that a decent end to 2010 didn't carry over to 2011 for Wayne Hunter & Eric Smith.

We learned that a bust like Aaron Maybin can demonstrate just how slow the rest of our non-CB's are on defense.

We learned that Kellen Clemens is not going to make us regret cutting him any time soon.

We learned that it's actually possible for a QB to throw 4 TD's in a single game and look terrible doing it.

We learned that Santonio Holmes is decidedly unworthy of his $50M contract or being a team captain.

We learned that we still can't cover a TE.

We learned that Nick Mangold is a pretty good deal better than our 3rd string center.

We learned that Jamaal Westerman does not deserve a starting job.

We learned that Matthew Mulligan could author the authoritative book on how to kill drives with dumbass penalties.

We learned that Joe McKnight has the highest single season KOR avg in NFL history for those with 30+ return attempts.

We learned that signing Derrick Mason didn't go quite as well as planned.

We learned that it is actually possible that Sanchez, Holmes, Plaxico, and Keller might all have different playbooks.

We learned that many of us haven't lost our keen ability to bitch & moan about the New York Jets.
