jetsrule128
Jets have signed two more players to reserve/future contracts in C Jacolby Ashworth and DB Nick Taylor. Ashworth (6'3", 300) was signed by Washington last May as an undrafted free agent out of Houston. He was released by the Redskins in late August. He comes from an athletic family. One brother, TE Jermichael Finley, is the Green Bay tight end, another brother, Jorvorskie Lane, played FB for the Miami Dolphins, and cousin Rex Hadnot played C for the Dolphins, Browns, Cardinals and Chargers from 2004-12. Taylor (5'9", 175) was the former Florida International pointguard who signed as a street free agent by Minnesota after turning in 40-yard-dash times in the 4.30-second range at FIU's March 2012 pro day. The Vikings released him last year.

kelticwizard
Asante Samuel is about that size, so it shouldn't be too much of a drawback. How he is talent wise remains to be seen.

#27TheDominator
If you look, I've seen Taylor listed as tall as six foot. Most of what I have seen listed him at 5-10" 165. He'll have to put on weight, but it's not crazy small compared to some guys. Supposedly ran a 4.30 and 4.27 at FIU pro day. You have to take those pro day times with a grain of salt, but FWIW, TY Hilton ran a 4.34 the same day/same track. Taylor played in some Florida minor league and had 3 INTs in 4 games, but he may be a DB, WR or return man. Vikings had signed him in 2012, but he tore his labrum the first day of camp and was IR'ed all season. Last year he got cut when they went to 53. Probably not good that he never hooked on a practice squad, but the perfect type of longshot to try to strike lightning with this time of year. See if you can do something with him and if not he's not taking any significant roster space. Obviously needs to be in the offseason program as much as possible. http://fiusports.typepad.com/the-prowl/2012/03/nick-taylor-signs-with-minnesota-vikings-watch-serini-chandler-on-nfl-network.html

Why does Ashworth, his 2 brothers and cousin, ALL have different last names? Freaking Baby Daddies......
