fl, what's the rule?  Team must be controlled by a single person and not an entity?  Something like that?   We'll sue!

Green Bay is the only team with this form of ownership structure in the NFL; such ownership is in direct violation of current league rules, which stipulate a limit of 32 owners of one team and one of those owners having a minimum 30% stake. However, the Packers corporation was grandfathered when the NFL's current ownership policy was established in the 1980s,[28] and are thus exempt. The Packers are also the only American major-league sports franchise to release its financial balance sheet every year.[citation needed]

Nobody sells their franchise, the value only goes up the longer you keep the team. And anything under 2 bil. for a NY football team is not even realistic. That said, even if he did sell the team, if everybody donated a dollar this team would have like 2 billion owners, 2 billion different opinions. Yeah, makes sense.

I'm not soliciting your dollars, peasant.

No.

Woody bought the team for 635 million and today it is valued upwards of 1.2 billion.  That's an incredible return, and I just wonder, if presented with an offer, he would stand up and cash in his chips.

In all fairness he has since spent $700,000,000 building a stadium. (actually don't know what Jets share of costs were)

that would be cool. We could have a poll on JN before each play is called. The fans would vote, and T0m could call it into the headset.

Going back to the billboard - I can't help but wonder whether the fervor of a bunch of reactionary fans to spend 10 grand on a billboard to drag a GM's name through the mud, coupled with our dolt owner's (perceived) willingness to listen and oblige, will dissuade any real GM candidate from coming here.

Willing to incorporate an entity and begin soliciting investors to buy the Jets.  Who wants to contribute the first dollar?

Or should we just have SAR buy the team?

Is SAD 1 working that phony shtick here too?

He's obviously broke or he wouldn't spend his life on public forums trying to convince complete strangers that he's wealthy.
