prime21
I wish we could retain him but it's just not smart at that salary. We need to spend a lot of money to rebuild our secondary.
Jetdawgg
Harvin was good here. The money is too much to pay for him. So is the draft pick.
prime21
Better news would be that Harvin redoes his contract and we have Decker & Marshall wide with Harvin in the slot. That would be ideal and cut Kerley but what is Harvin's motivation for that? Let me take a pay cut and be a slot wr on a team that doesn't really have a QB? Can't see that happening but wish it would.

section314
And that Schmuck as you so eloquently put it will be in NE first thing Tuesday morning to sign a deal there to torture us twice a year for the next 1-3 years. But Revis is coming back, right? Surely he can stop the future HOF Percy Harvin.

JetsFanatic
Bye bye Kerley then? Absolutely not. He would still get plenty of action. You need mote then 3 receivers. My only point is that it would awesome to have those three talented players lineup together.

joewilly12
Jets will release WR Percy Harvin. He was owed $10.5 million. The Jets will absorb Brandon Marshall's $7.7M instead and give Harvin his walking papers after he contributed 51 catches, 685 total yards, and two touchdowns to New York and Seattle last season. The draft pick the Jets owe the Seahawks also drops from a fourth-rounder to a sixth-rounder. Harvin turns 27 in May and should have an active free agent market despite his inability to stick with one team. Some team will surely take a flier on his game-breaking ability as a wideout-running back and kickoff return ace.
