hawk
Washington is currently $6 Million over the cap, and obviously RGIII will be released bringing them to $10 Million under the cap. Pierre Garcon would save them $8 Million Desean Jackson would save them nearly $7 MIllion Dashon Goldson would save them $8 Million Chris Culliver would save them $5.5 Million Miami is currently $4 Million over the cap, and they just restructured Suh and Misi and released Jennings bringing them to about $15 Million under. Cameron Wake would save them $8.5 Million Dion Jordan would save them $3.2 Million Denver is currently $1 Million over the cap, and will most likely pick up $19 Million after Manning retires gets cut. Demarcus Ware would save them $10 Million Aqib Talib would save them nearly $7 Million This isn't so much to say we should go after any particular player above, but more that they will take up resources if they do shake free. If cap dollars are tied up in these players other currently on the Free Agent list may drop down the list, and not get as much. Is there any players the Jets should be keeping an eye on, that may get cut?
UnknownJetFan
If Fitz resigns, then TE Chandler could be interesting to get such that maybe between Marshall, Decker, and Chandler, the Jets could have the big 3 targets they need for both the redzone and between the 20s. Jetdawgg
Jackson would give the Jets the missing deep threat at WR and adding a serious weapon in case of injury or age.

I think if you're acquiring wr/te to add to the current corps, big guys with wing spans and consistent hands might be more important than guys that stretch the field. Mainejet
What about the Jets potential cap casualties? If they don't do something with Wilk, they'll likely lose Powell and Snacks. The latter two I do not believe the team can afford to lose. This is what I'm most worried about.

Mainejet
Just now, Jetdawgg said: Hey, if he could help the Jets win though.... He couldn't help the Jets win though. Our offense is not built on the long ball. Fitz cannot throw the long ball. We also had a long ball threat and they never hooked up on the long ball at all in 2015. If later on down the road the Jets discover Bryce Petty or somebody else possesses that long ball talent, then maybe we should look into a long ball receiver. But right now the Jets have much larger fish to fry.

32EBoozer
Tannenbaum at it again! 2 yr. from now Miami will be hurting even worse. Dolphins Restructure Suh's contract, cut Greg Jennings 8:58 PM ET ESPN.com news services Email print comment MIAMI -- Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh's $114 million, six-year contract has been restructured by the Miami Dolphins to create salary-cap space. Linebacker Koa Misi's contract was also restructured, the team said Saturday. Receiver Greg Jennings was released, clearing $4 million in cap space. Details of the restructured deals weren't revealed. The Suh move won't reduce the overall value of his contract but could create an additional $18 million under the cap. The Dolphins began the weekend slightly over the cap after giving defensive end Olivier Vernon a $12.7 million transition tag, according to NFLPA figures. The team is now under the cap ahead of Wednesday's deadline after the two restructures and the release of Jennings.

That was without Smith. You can always have more depth but how many teams have a 15 & 87, nevermind a trio of Wrs? How much money can we tie up in WRs, especially if make a play on a TE Are you sure we wont see Smith this season?

With the Jets not having the strongest of help at QB they need to ensure that the other positions are more than adequate to make up for that weakness. The Jets did not get by last season. They did not make the playoffs.

I just think the Jets get more play out of spending the dollars it would take for a 3rd WR on a TE and seeing what they have in Smith
