While the Jets have been waiting to see how things play out with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, they’ve been making sure that the rest of their backfield is well stocked. They’ve signed Matt Forte and Khiry Robinson while also bringing back Bilal Powell, which leaves them free to spend some time on other offensive matters. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that one of those matterswill be a visit from wide receiver Rod Streater.

Streater wasn’t much of a factor in Oakland last season, playing in just one game and catching one pass for eight yards, and broke his foot three games into the 2014 season so it has been a while since he’s seen significant game action. When he did, he caught 99 passes for 1,472 yards and seven touchdowns in 32 games for the Raiders. The Jets have Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker at the top of the depth chart at receiver with Devin Smith, Quincy Enunwa and Kenbrell Thompkins behind them so Streater probably won’t be guaranteed much more than a chance to compete if he does sign with the Jets.

Chaz Schilens!  At least Radierholic can dump all over him if we sign him after projecting him to be a 1000 yard guy the last 3 years with the Raiders.

I like Rod Streater, and would have thought he would have been one of top three Wr's- if you asked me before the start of training camp.    That wasn't the case as Rod Streater had a mysteriously illness( don't know today what it was) in training camp , and he never was the same Wr again.( had trouble beating cb's in garbage time- late in preseason games).

So before the Jets sign Rod Streater they better find out what illness he had, and is he 100% now.
