johnnyjet
Watching Petty get knocked around and the O line whiffing on blocks reminds me of the Kotite years. When Boomer almost got killed by Bruce Smith. Ahhhh memories. And how about our secondary, can't cover can't tackle and can't catch. So let's not draft a qb and start in the trenches. Oh and eff you woody.
Rangers9
It's not just the lack of talent of the players. It's the scheme. You just don't run right straight at the Qb with no blocker anywhere in the area.
Tinstar
The kid did well opening huge holes for the Running game. The blocking schemes are the responsibility of the QB and the OC base on pre-snap reads . Give the kids a break . They made correctable mistakes, and while Petty paid for it, he's be back . Just shows that the coaches know better than the fans .

The scheme didn't leave people unblocked, the players simply didn't do what they were supposed to. It's not the scheme it's unprepared or dumb players
Rangers9
They ran right at the Qb no one was there. That's what I'm talking about. The run blocking was another story: it was pretty good.
RSJ
It's 100% the scheme. And the DL, TE, WR's, LB's and ST also suck.

Oh and eff you woody. The o-line actually did a good job of run blocking and lets not forget that only Carpenter was playing at his natural position. The same cannot be said of the horrendous secondary that needs to be set ablaze. Marcus Williams has taken a big step backward and Revis is just done. Burris is a rookie and he got toasted on the 51 yard TD pass to Landry. You NEVER turn around like that, and even a rookie knows that. Pryor was a mistake from the git go. Rebuilding this unit has to be a top priority.
dbatesman
Didn't the OL and secondary suck when Maccagnan got here? And now they still suck, two years later? Weird. Anyway, BIG MACC BIG MACC BIG MACC
dbatesman
(the OL actually isn't bad, provided they can find someone to play LT)

Its certainly looking like the exception at this point. Hard to tell though since the coaching is so bad.
