Barton
I expect my autographed Nuge card to arrive no later than Friday afternoon at 2pm. I'll just assume it will be sent with extra bubble wrap....... Who's doing the grading? YJF?
shutout
Will the judge(s) going to just decide which was the best and award the picture or is there going to be a post and explaination of everyone's grades? Just curious.
ThunderbirdJet
Some good drafts here! Here is what I ended up with: 1. Manny Lawson, DE/LB NC State At 6'5, he ran an incredible 4.43 in the 40 at the the combine. Ready to start at OLB in a 3-4, or be a pass rush specialist in the 4-3 as a DE. He's 240 now, as an LB, but lost almost 20 pounds to make the switch. He could beef up again. 2. Ko Simpson, FS, S Carolina Top free safety in the draft, and with Chavous as the SS, the Rams have a solid D backfield up the middle. 3. Anthony Fasano, TE, ND Best all-around TE in the draft, as he is the only one of the top five that is a good blocking TE. Perfect need/BAP! 4. Ryan Cook, C, New Mexico Big for a center, may project out as a tackle. Offers depth at three O line spots. 5. Brandon Marshall, WR, Central Florida Scored three TD's in the Hula bowl with over 200 yards. Then tore it up in the Shrine game too. At 6-4/229, and a 4.5 40 at the combine, is being called little TO. Could be the SOD. With him in the slot, Fasano at TE, and Bruce and Holt, Bulger has a lot of options. 6. Gerrick McPhearson, CB, Maryland One of the fastest players in the entire draft, with a 4.34 at the combine, he isn't ready to start, but could be a future shut down corner at some point with some coaching. May be a nickel back at first. 7. William Freeman, LB, Furman A small school sleeper who had a very good pro day... 4.61 forty, and a really impressive short shuttle time of 4.25. Should be very good on ST's with upside for being more than depth down the road at the LB spot. I managed to address every need position on the Rams, and still got good value in every round. There could be as many as four starters from this group, with some depth at key positions. Now, who needs my address for the Nugent picture? StillerPaul
When grading my draft, two things should be taken into consideration. 1. I got the last f'n pick of every round. HANDICAP. 2. I'm still new at this stuff. Can i just get the T-shirt instead of the picture?
Maxman
The results are being calculated now. It is a very tough process we go through. We leave no stone unturned. We are doing background checks on a few players right now. Depending on the results, the scores may change. Thanks to everyone who participated in this. I know it is a lot of work. We are going to put the results of Round One on the front page later this week as well! Big thanks to Smizzy, Faba and SS19 for putting this together. And to everyone else who helped out along the way. We will have the results soon and will announce the winner of the framed Mike Nugent photo. Also the winner will receive 2,000 bonus vBookie points. The runner up gets 1,000. And 3rd place gets 500. JetNation is feeling generous today!

Maxman
The JetNation panel of draft experts have spoken. Thank you again to everyone who took part in this event. I can not reveal the members of this panel. We put their safety first. Although it is hard to rank drafts this early, the panel has determined the winner. Congratulations to ThunderbirdJet. You are the new proud owner of a framed 8 x 10 Mike Nugent autographed picture. And no, he did not sign it: Noodle Leg. The members that finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded additional vBookie points as was previously discussed. Congratulations: 1. ThunderbirdJet 2. Sperm Edwards 3. Green Jets & Ham Thanks everyone!
James Hasty
Any more feedback from the panel? I am curious to find what they thought of my draft. I would also like to know more about what they thought made the winners stand out most.

Obviously it is really rough to pick a winner before a snap occurs. This is not an easy thing to do. What I will do is have them write up a brief recap of some things that they liked and didn't like. And like I said it is real rough....pretty much just an educated guess at this point in time. But I will get some more detailed notes on the draft and post them here. Thanks. ThunderbirdJet
I would like to thank the academy.... Hey, thanks much! To be honest, I don't know if I would have wanted to grade out the draft. I thought there were some really good values and excellent drafts, very good drafts, put together in this mock. I think there were a bunch of teams (managers) that could have won that I'd have no qualms about at all. Thanks to everyone at the site for all the time and effort they put in.... it was fun! It's also one of the best looking mocks I've seen, in the end. Says a lot about the posters here who participated. I'm glad it's a pic of Nugent. I've done some serious battling on the net defending his draft position and that whole trade. I've also gone out of my way to defend his kick off performance, at least for the first half last year. Despite a lack of TB's, he was in the top five in starting field position over the first 9 weeks of last season. In the second half, his performance dipped pretty badly.... but he was taking heat before that. So, nice job to all involved, and thanks again!
