Bronxville Jets Fan
Yes. Gives us another year to evaluate him and see him develop. Teams piss money away all the time (see Dalvin Cook) so I’m willing to do it for the most important position. It also would give the Jets some more flexibility in the 2024 draft by not having to use a first rounder on Rodgers’ successor.
Jetsfan80
DISCLAIMER: Yes, I'm aware the team won a monster game. POSITIVES: Zach has gotten better between the 20s, and has avoided bad throws/turnovers, and is also getting better when he scrambles. He's also still ranked in the top 20 on play action. Zach seems like it’s finally slowing down for him this is a tough schedule but he’s showing improvement against good teams? We should give Zach Wilson a $160 million extension now. 1
Smashmouth
13 hours ago, Joe W. Namath said: How many backups in this league are putting teams on their back and winning games? Just this week we saw minshew, tyrod taylor, malik willis, pj walker, tyson bagent, josh dobbs and brian hoyer all play. None put the team on their back and won a game. The best backups manage games and dont lose them. Something zach wilson has showed he can do. QBs who put teams on their backs and win games are starters, not backups. one problem with this ...Zach was drafted to be a franchise QB not a back up.
