However if I was Woody, knowing AR wants current Admin in place, I would hire a czar/VP of ops/whatever you want to call him. Assuming Woody would have the $$ and smarts to find someone like this granted but if possible then I would make JD, Rex Hogan, Saleh, and everyone report to him. This czar would have to be a past successful and respected GM and Woody would have to spare no expense. (obviously pie in sky wish from my part) The czar would simply be the de facto GM and be in place prior to FA and draft. The czar would evaluate the coaching staff and be empowered to hire position coaching and staff and try to right the ship while also make 1 more run with AR but come up with plan that will make Jets competitive w/o AR. While Woody will never sell while he's alive I wish to GOD that the NFL would step in like they did for the Gints when they fake recommended (forced) George Young on them.
