A short poem to celebrate the return of Joe and Robert

Recommended Posts

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious game of forgotten Jet lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my Jet man cave door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my Jet man cave door—
            Only this and nothing more.”

    Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost season evermore—
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name playoffs in days of yore—
Nameless here for evermore, no playoffs again for evermore

I bet it’s a sh*t movie, but still more entertaining than the Jets.

Up the Creek was a classic 80s teen comedy.  One of those movies you handed dad at the video store and hope he did not turn it over to see it was rated R.  99% of the time he didnt and it was a night filled with boobies in your basement.

Good times!

Joe Namath:

You're not a poet,

I hope you know it!

The Jets are a bad team in case you haven't learned,

Each year they have crashed and burned.

I see you expect the Jets to go next year to great heights,

But by the end of the season, we will be giving them their last rights!

Next year after the draft, Rob Saleh and Joe D. will be thrilled and cheer,

But they will be looking for new jobs by the end of the year.
