All of the stories I've seen point out they have no idea who the other teams are and give no details on how his camp might have blocked trades. Only that all four teams would have upgraded their QB room with Fields. I don't believe rookie contracts ever have a poison pill provision. I don't believe this at all. Sounds a lot like damage control for Fields to pretend that there was more of a market for him. Not only does it seem like there was no serious market for him, but it sounds like the only reason the Steelers went after Fields is because that team was desperate to get Pickett off the roster and needed a replacement.
