lawngnome o-line
No i heard that player numbers are down since they let less internet entries in.
EM31
Yes the numbers are down but they also changed the formula this year so that it went deeper into the field and with larger amounts. The end result is that the concentration of prize money into the top 3 tables is not as pronounced as in previous years. There were 6300 entries this year and 8,000 last year (the record). EM31
I found out a little more about the action yesterday. Chris said that once he got to the featured table he did nothing but fold hands for the first two hours or so. He said he got a few dollars off Daniel Negreanu but in reality, Daniel being on the wrong end of three big hands is what did him in near the end. My brother was not involved in any of those hands. He did mention that he Busted three players out of the tournament from the featured table so he does expect to be a part of the ESPN coverage when it comes out in a few weeks. In other news he packed light when he came over and the Party Poker hospitatlity area provided a bunch of TShirts for all of "their" players. When asked if he had to wear them, the marketing company representing party poker at the event said... "Not at all, wear them, don't wear them I doesn't bother us". I told Chris that the fact he wore a Party Poker shirt all day long at the feature table was a gift to them, especially given the ESPN angle. Oh well... if he ever becomes "a name" then he can start charging to wear hats and tshirts and the like.

EM31
No news and they just got down to 634 players left. 13 players away from the money. this just posted on pokernews Bubblicious The bubble is one of the most exciting moments of a poker tournament. During the WSOP main event championship, the bubble is even more crucial. The tension increases with every bustout during hand-for-hand play as the bubble approaches. Players will find out if they wasted $10,000 and three days of their life, or if they cashed in the most prestigious tournament in all of poker. The aggressive players will attempt to steal pots as the conservative players are praying they don't get a hand so they can avoid playing in any of the pots over the next few hands. And the short stacks? They are praying that they are not the player who hits the rail under a cloud of despair while the 621 other players remaining in the room are clapping, cheering, and celebrating their milestone
EM31
The Bubble Has Burst! Jack Effel: "Attention, Main Event players! You're all in the money! 621 players remain, and you're all in the money." He then explains that they will complete the six minutes left in this level, and then take a break. After the break, they will put one hour back on the clock for the level, to compensate for the amount of play lost to hand-for-hand play. Details on the bubble-bursting hand in a moment. No word yet from my brother.
EM31
Well he is down to about 80K but ensured at least the 25K payout. A good run but he needs to have something good happen pretty soon after dinner time.
Green DNA
Well he is down to about 80K but ensured at least the 25K payout. A good run but he needs to have something good happen pretty soon after dinner time. Even if it ends here, he's had a great run and I'm sure he has a lot of good story. It's not over yet though, best of luck to him!

lawngnome o-line
I saw this before...he's not a bad table chip stack wise. You don't have a any players with huge stacks and the average at the table is $375,000 which is 2.5 times more than him...one double up will make him better off, and based on how he's gone from a low stack to a high stack pretty often this trip, it wouldn't be completely surprising.
