"How about that 2003 Giambi-Pettitte-Clemens ALCS robbery?"

How about the allegations against Clemens state that he used in 1998, 2000, and 2001?

How about Pettitte saying he used in 2002 and 2004? Oh, and they're Pats fans too. How about that Rodney Harrison robbery this year?

How Boston Dirt Dogs continues to be a source of information for Red Sox fans I'll never know.

Let's concede-Clemens-and a good chunk of MLB-were using PFDs.And they were all wrongto do so. But the idea that the Sawx didn't have a Radomski/Macnamee running round with the likes of Mo Vaughn and gabe Kalper on the roster is laughable. As is the idea that David Ortiz going from a scub to the most fearsome clenup hitter in MLB was a lucky accident. The reason we don't know that guy's name or names is because Mitchell is part of the Red Sox, period.

The reason why is very simple

The Mitchell Report had no subpoena power.

MLB in no way cooperated with this report.

If MLB was any way serious about cleaning this up they would have forced teams to open their clubhouse doors and give Mitchell any information that he asked.

If congress wants to stay involved in this the best way to make MLB jump through hoops and give them exactly what they want it to threaten them with removing their anti-trust exemptions.

Last year Direct TV was supposed to be the only supplier to MLB Extra Innings. Alot like how Direct TV has the exclusive rights to NFL Sunday Ticket.

The deal was done and in place all it took was that little threat from a congressman and the deal was dead.

MLB in my eyes continues to try and sweep the steroid problem under the carpet. We have heard it from alot of guys that the Mitchell Report is just the tip of the iceberg. Well if it is then hopefully MLB runs right into that iceberg and drowns in their sea of lies and greed.

The reason we do not know about players from other teams is because Mitchell did not have access to a trainer or clubhouse attendant from any other team, save the Yankees and Mets.

But no one is kidding themselves to think that there are not scores of other players, both past and present, who were users. Big names and fringe players. But the Government did not force anyone else to open up, like they did to McNamee and Kurt Radomsky.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with the Red Sox.
