NY JET 29
1st round- Vernon Gholston, OLB- Will be a great pass rusher for us, and really will solidify our pass rushing needs. 2nd round- Brandon Flowers, CB- Flowers is a top CB in this draft. He has the skills to really do great in zone coverage. Needs a little help in man on man, but Flowers, and Revis will be great for years. And also those 2 plus Rhodes can't get much better than that. After those highlights he has PLAYMAKER written all over him. 4th round A- Jonathan Goff, LB- Plug him next to Harris, and WOW! Those 2 will be one if not the best linebacking tandem in the NFL. Can you imagine Harris, Goff, Gholston, Jenkins, and Pace each coming after the QB. Gotta get Goff here no questions asked. 4th round B- Depending on who's available Either Keenan Burton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L85gBbtyavo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw3w3tYoc3A&feature=related or we can get Eddie Royal, WR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCGy5FYAuEI or Marcus Monk, WR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RYIO-KWJs8 Personally I like Monk the most here, but if he's gone go with Burton, and if he's gone go with Royal. I really doubt all 3 are gone by then. 6th round- Joshua Barret, FS- We could use some competition for Elam. He's also a nice pick considering it's round 6. 7th Round- Matt Flynn, QB- Why not? We could use him down the road. I don't expect him to come in, and take the starting job, but we could use him in the future, and he'll be prety good competition this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkcuz9_tIWE&feature=related I hope you guys enjoyed! How did I do?

CoachTsurfing
If Gholston and Flowers play like Revis and Harris did last year it won't matter what else you do in the draft.

I feel Gholston will have more of an impact than Harris did, but I feel Flowers will just have slightly less than an impact as Revis. I feel Flowers will make bigger hits, but Revis made the big plays. I don't think any rookie can come in, and shutdown every receiver like Revis did. C-Mart28
What would your take on Bryan Thomas be if this happens, cut him or keep him for depth? Aside from that I like your draft, covers needs and throws some depth in there as well (though a lineman in there somewhere would look good too). I cant see how any defensive rookie, Gholston OR Long can come in and have a bigger impact for a defense than what Davis Harris did for the Jets team last year. How many games did Harris start? Only like 9 games right? And he had over 100 tackles and 5 sacks! If Harris would have started all 16 games, he would have led the league in tackles (AS A ROOKIE) and had about 8 sacks, thats amazing, I cant see how Gholston could make a larger impact And Revis played lights out last year, lets hope our CB in round 2 can come close to what Revis did

I feel that you can NEVER have enough LB's in the 3-4, I would love to keep Thomas as our 5th LB

DieHardJetsFan
Anyone think Mike Jenkins makes it to round 2? Not a chance in hell. Only top CB's that can fall into round two would have to be Cason and Flowers
124
NY JET 29, aka Nyjet10, ever since your boy DiPietro went down and you've stopped your spewing over the Islanders, you've gotten much, much better. Good mock. Just stay out of the Hockey threads, alright? BTW, hows that couch feel? Did Ricky boy buy his golf clubs yet?

Jetscode1
I'd take Gholston...and I like Monk (but after the injuries will probably be available in the 6th or 7th). Royal and Goff are both good value in the 4th. Don't like Flowers...especially after reading the notes from Scott Wright's Draft Countdown...character concerns about Facebook pictures...check it out. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sco...onflowers.html Don't think Tangini get anywhere near him. Not a bad mock. Good post.
scionce
nice mock... especially since it keeps a beast like gholston off the NE roster. strong chance both he and c long will be gone by then, maybe leaving mcfadden available. if that happens, gimme 22 and 28 from dallas and whatever else we can rape them for.
