AFJF
Like the guy or not, he's an ace. Sub 4.00 ERA and 36 wins in 2 seasons pitching in the AL East = ace.

He is a # 3 starter on a great team. # 2 guy on a very good team. He is not an ace. Mike Mussina has 8 wins right now. He isn't an ace either. Zeebers
Wang is what he is. A very good pitcher, who has moments of brilliance, but will never be an elite.

PeterNorth09
Darrel Rasner and Joba may end up being our aces by the end of the season. Wang is a very good pitcher but not an ace.
DaBrick Wall
Wins don't mean anything. Rings mean less. But no, Wang is not an ace. Good #2 and great #3, but not an ace. Doesn't matter, because he will be their #3 pitcher in a few years.
Matt39
How many true aces are there in the AL anyway? Becket, Halladay umm....
AFJF
How many true aces are there in the AL anyway? Becket, Halladay umm.... I think people are confusing the term "ace" with the term "elite". If you go out there and give your team a chance to win the vast majority of the time that you pitch and pitch well enough to beat the other teams best pitcher on a fairly regular basis then you are an "ace" IMO. If you go out and completely shut out the oppostion the vast majority of the time then you are elite. It's silly to say that any teams #1 starter who is in the top 5 in wins and sub 4.00 ERA in a hitters ballpark/good hitting division in consecutive years isn't an ace. JMO.
