Lil Bit Special
http://www.newsday.com/sports/ny-spposada0729,0,420587.story Yankees general manager just announced on Monday that catcher Jorge Posada will have season-ending shoulder surgery. "It's just the obvious way to go," Cashman said. Cashman made the announcement about an hour after Posada tried to hit in batting practice. Cashman said he hoped Posada would be ready for the start of next season, but could not guarantee it.
Bob
I hate to lose him, but Molina is not a bad replacement and I want Posada ready to go next year. This is the best shot at making that happen.

DaBrick Wall
I would make a run at Laird. If he costs too much, someone like Olivo would be alright for a stop-gap. This was the right decision. No sense risking next year too.
anskyruben
I think this is the best thing for Jorge. They should've made this move 3 weeks ago. Hopefully he will be ready to go by april. he is more of an impact on this team than most people give him credit for. Molina will be fine for the rest of the year. He has a gun behind the plate . He can't hit his way out of a paper bag, but the rest of the lineup can pick up the slack. Moeller can be the backup.
Maxman
Was hoping to have his bat back for the stretch run. That sucks but Molina's defense has been unreal. Hopefully with the new LF Molina's lack of hitting isn't as much of an issue.

The Gun Of Bavaria
Chad Moeller. Tigers will trade Pudge to you for the right price. We'll take Joba, thanks.

mbn007
If Cano has his big second half that he was showing signs of last week, and Melky hits to his career average, we can live with Molina/Moeller. The problem comes if the hitting tails off from the big guys though. Like Giambi and Abreu. It still comes down to Pitching, and the past 2 nights, there was nothing from anyone.
