124
Okay so this a slow time of the year so lets have a little fun with it, shall we? Here is a list of questions you can answer and go into as much depth as you want and we can talk about why people want certain things to happen to the Jets or whoever your team may be since we have Patriot, Bill, Dolphin, Brown and other fans on here as well. Player(s) most likely to be sent packing: Player(s) who need to be resigned: Player(s) in FA who you want to target: Player(s) in the draft that you feel will take you to the next level with your pick(s): Here is mine to start: 124's Jets Dream Offseason 1) Player(s) most likely to be sent packing: -- CB David Barrett (already sent packing) -- WR Brad Smith -- WR Marcus Henry -- QB Erik Ainge 2) Player(s) who need to be resigned: -- K Mike Nugent -- CB Ahmad Carroll -- FB Tony Richardson -- NT/DE C.J. Garb
Player(s) most likely to be sent packing: Matt Cassel via trade Larry Izzo - not resigned Tedy Bruschi - not resigned Delta O'Neal - not resigned James Sanders - not resigned Player(s) who need to be resigned: Jabar Gaffney Russ Hochstein Heath Evans 1 of Banta-Cain, Woods and Alexander Player(s) in FA who you want to target: Jim Leonhard (Baltimore) Fred Jackson (Bills) Player(s) in the draft that you feel will take you to the next level with your pick(s): CB - DJ Moore Vandy (Late 1st acquired in Cassel trade) OLB - Brian Cushing USC OLB - Clint Sintim UVA WR - Juaquin Iglesias OU T - Jason Watkins Florida RB - Glen Coffee Bama No offense, Kansas, but if they don't resign Sanders, the Pats have ONE viable safety - I'm guessing Rodney retires. Tully Banta-Cain signed a big deal in San Fran only to be released this past week. Izzo is still a special teams ace. Gaffney drops as many as he catches. I say give the ST demon, Kelly Washington, a try at third receiver.
DMaynard
Send Brad Kassell packing. Far away. Like Siberia. The $620K in Cap savings should cover the travel costs.
BroadwayJoe12
I agree with Maualuga....that's our guy....hope he falls Maualuga is falling down some draft boards, especially after SI reported that he most likely will be skipping the LB skill workouts at the combine. For someone who has had a huge knock on him for struggling in coverage and not possessing smooth hips and good range, this is only gonna hurt him. He needs to prove that he can be on the field every down, this doesn't help to quiet the skeptics. I'm dissapointed and pretty surprised. If he doesn't participate in the positional workouts I think he's gonna fall and would be even more upset if we took him at #17.

Leonhard is brought in as FS to play opposite Merriweather. TBC, Woods or Alexander all have been schooled in Patriots Linebacking 101. They are stop gaps until the draftees are ready. Gaffney is a stop gap until draftee is ready.

I'll take my chances with the youngsters we already have on the roster - but ended up on IR this past season.
124
Banta-Cain is not a Patriot. So, what you're saying is re-sign him as a SF cast-off? PASS! Tully fit in well with New England and is better than anything New England had once Adalius Thomas went down.
Sperm Edwards
Banta-Cain is not a Patriot. PFSIKH only pretends to follow the team in years when the Pats make the playoffs. Then pounds on his chest like a gorilla. You are a much better fan than this slimeball, even if your choice in teams is poor. The earth's good people are all Jets fans. Especially those who leave the Pats organization. Like Eric Mangini.
