You protect the cult leader, the mafia kills you and the cult leader won't bother converting you. Why would he? He knows you're a dead man, he might as well get someone else who has a chance of surviving the night. I am guaranteeing the CL an extra night, which is very valuable at this stage in the game. And if the CL does not come forward, I am protecting myself. He still has a better chance of converting me, knowing I will survive the night in that case, than guessing who is scum, if scum cannot be converted. I submitted my night action a while ago, protecting myself. Because I am the town healer. Meaning I can protect against both NKs and conversions. Hopefully the cult tried converting me and it failed. I am very surprised Cabot was the Idiot. I was leaning towards believing he had a role because one of the potential actions he named was "healing". I thought the concept of a healer who can protect against both mafia and cult was a twist he would not have known existed in this game, unless Doggin truly mentioned it in a PM. As it is, you're going to be tough to trust from here on out. The way I saw it, worst case scenario meant if the scum missed last night - which they did - it was game over. Desperate times...I thought it was worth a shot. Even if all I accomplished was getting the mafia to target me, I thought that was better than having them NK a townie. My plan may or may not have worked out as intended, but it seemed better than sitting back continuing to protect myself while townies keep dying and the cult keeps growing. As for being first in line for a lynch ... as I explained earlier, if the cult equals the number of mafia plus town, it should be impossible for us to successfully lynch a non-cult member. I was hoping I would have time to explain my plan before the night phase ended, possibly adding to my credibility, and point out that you should all be worried if you are able to get 5 votes on me. Because there is no reason for a cult member to vote for his teammate with the ratio the way it may be. The fact that the game is continuing is a good sign. If the cult has converted successfully every night up until now, they must not have done so last night because otherwise we would have lost already. It would have been 5 cult, 2 scum, 1 town. If they tried converting me and failed, either last night or a previous night, it is now 4-2-2. Best case, of course, is that the cult cannot convert every night. Very easy to hang back until he revealed who his supposed target was. Or we have someone who can silence players but chose only to silence you, twice in a row after two days of silencing no one. And by luck this perfectly coincided with Cabot's invented story. Of course it is very possible there is more to the game than we know right now.
