Ryan Admits Folk is a risk

Stover was under 77% in 6 of his first 8 seasons and under 73% in each of his first 3. Joe Nedney never even reached 70% until his 4th season (where he had a pathetic 71%). He's been almost 90% since then.

Especially with younger kickers, their past is not necessarily indicative of their futures.

Anfd that pendulum swings both ways. Remember when Vanderjagdt was considered elite? Kickers literally change season by season for better or worse.

My point wasn't that Folk is likely to be awesome. Rather, that a kicker's career can make a sudden change from awful to great. It goes without saying that it can go the other way as well.

Let's hope so. So many things go into a successful kick. It's risky by nature as Gato said.
