He's having a great season. The MVP, though? No.
NIGHT STALKER
I didn't say he wasn't the Most Valuable Yankee. He's having a great season. The MVP, though? No. You can't just say no...he is in consideration for it. The hatred some of you guys have for the Yanks clouds your mind.

Just as Walter Mondale was in consideration for the presidency in 1984. The award is clearly Hamilton's to lose at this point IMO.

JohnnyHector
Cabrera should be the MVP Ted Williams finished second the MVP voted in a season during which he won the Triple Crown. Short of a surge to pass Bautista in HR's and Hamilton in average, Miggy is not taking home the hardware playing for a sub-.500 team - especially in a year when there's strong candidates from playoff-bound teams. Hamilton's current ranking in the AL batting categories: Batting Average - 1st Hits - 1st Doubles - 4th (tie) Home Runs - 4th Runs - 5th RBI's - 6th (tie) SLG - 2nd OPS - 2nd

I never said he wasn't in contention. I just said I don't think he'll win it. He'll probably be top 3 in the voting, but I can't see Hamilton not winning it.
