Barton Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Because he has a booming leg but this is THE LAST guy I would want to see as a place holder for a potential game winning field goal, in the regular season or in the playoffs. I could easily invision Dearth snapping the ball to Graham, Graham botches the hold, Nugent misses the field goal, Jets lose, Nugent is mentally screwed and we here chants of Same Ol' Jets in the papers the next morning. Not to mention, its also the last guy I'd like to see punting for us, backed into the endzone with defenders surrounding his would-be punt. I really hope Micah Knorr makes the team, he knows what he's doing out there more than Graham. That being said, I don't think Graham has a chance at making this team either way. This guy Graham might be new to the NFL but he's basically a god in Austrialia. The Jets have been recruiting him to punt since 1997. This guy Graham might be new to the NFL but he's basically a god in Austrialia. The Jets have been recruiting him to punt since 1997. No way they should be scared now when they are so close to finally having a legitimate solution at the punting position... Knorr is terrible-he would be another in our long line of short directional punters that give up field position. Graham has been going to school to learn punting in NFL and certainly has the strong enough leg and is an athlete unlike other players that are punters. Thats true, Fielder could hold.........whoops never thought of that. Even tho Gowin sucked, I thought he was a pretty nifty place holder, often he'd save us with his quick reflexes and sure hands. Not that this should be much of a concern, but I would think BOLLYWOOD would be our holder.
