JetNation
The Jets have announced that they have brought back TE Dedrick Epps who they had cut a couple of weeks ago off of the Bears practice squad onto the active roster. It’s likely that he was brought back in order to replace Dustin Keller who currently has a hamstring injury which might prevent him from playing in the game against the Steelers. JustInFudge
Sounds like Keller is not going to play. Sucks for him. In his contract year and all. The offense was as good as its been with him only catching 1 pass, hopefully that continues.
#27TheDominator
They waited to make this move after cutting Turner. I wonder if this was the plan all along or they were trying to make a deal with some vet.
Strangefunk
Epps looked pretty good in that last preseason game. He made a catch where he stretched out to make the catch. Any follow up on Cumberland? I thought I saw him leave the Bills game with an arm/shoulder ailment but the injury report had no mention of him. I hope that it was really nothing because he looked good on those three or so catches in the Bills game. Big Target.
WEW
But can he add to our stable of blocking TE's?
SenorGato
But can he add to our stable of blocking TE's? What stable? It's a huge weakness for the franchise and their Groundz and Poundz goal.
DMaynard
The silver lining is we will get to see that Cumberland is better than Keller and why it will be no big deal to lose Keller after this year.

I'd prefer not to have to make that sacrifice vs. a D where you need every weapon possible, but good point .

Obviously they have a genius coordinator. But how good is the Steelers defense exactly, when Polamalu and Harrison aren't playing?

SenorGato
Senor That was a joke of course An unfunny one that hit too close to home. Blocking TE is one of the truly key positions in the Groundz and Poundz offense and the Jets ignored it. What other kind of offense is it possible for this team to run?
